Message from the CEO
Marking Emmy’s 85th year is a special moment for all of us.
For me, it’s a chance to pause, look around, and appreciate what makes this place genuinely unique: the people who fill it, support it, and keep it moving forward.
What I see every day is a community that cares deeply. Our staff show up with commitment and warmth. Our residents bring humour, insight and character. Families are connected and engaged. Volunteers and supporters contribute in ways that quietly but meaningfully strengthen our cause. That sense of collective effort is what continues to shape Emmy, far more than any anniversary number.
While this year is about celebrating our past, we will also be looking ahead. We have a full calendar of events that will bring us together, including the launch of a commemorative cookbook that captures the stories and food traditions woven through our community. As well as being celebrations they are reminders of who we are and what we value.
More importantly, 2026 is the year we set our direction for the next chapter. Our new Strategic Plan focuses on three clear priorities: developing a retirement living community that offers choice and connection; expanding the range of services we provide to people living at home; and strengthening our people and partnerships to ensure the Emmy way and quality of care continues to thrive. These priorities are practical, ambitious and shaped by what our community has told us matters most.
Thank you for your ongoing trust and involvement. I’m so proud of where we are today, and I hope you will join us as we shape what comes next.

Chief Executive Officer
Message from the Patron
Mazal Tov to Emmy Monash on reaching 85 extraordinary years.
This milestone is not only a celebration of time, but of the people whose dedication has shaped Emmy’s character from the beginning. The staff, volunteers and supporters have carried forward a spirit of care, stability and purpose that continues to define Emmy Monash.
As we mark this anniversary year and approach the Annual Appeal, I encourage you to join the community and give generously. For 85 years, Emmy has been a steadfast pillar of Jewish life—somewhere our parents, grandparents and loved ones have found comfort, connection and dignity.
There are many ways you can support Jewish life at Emmy. I encourage you to speak with Andrea Morris, Executive Manager Philanthropy, who is committed to helping donors create meaningful impact for those who call Emmy home.
Together, let’s ensure the people in our care continue to experience the warmth, attentive support and meaningful life that have always been at the heart of Emmy Monash.
